Passage is an old sheng puerh blend similar to the classic 8582 blend of the 1980s. It is impossible to know the real vintage of loose-leaf teas like this, which is why they are so cheap compared to cakes that have a verifiable vintage. Also, tea was often added to these loose-leaf sheng teas. They are often a blend of old tea, some younger wet-stored tea and a bit of shou. They have to be judged on their own merit. This blend is spectacular, with hints of camphor and a deep, powerful and lasting Yin Qi that can change your day. This is amongst our favorite loose leaf teas we currently have.
